Caprice Bass
In late 2014 I was invited to try a new fitness class that claimed to work my entire body while improving posture and increasing energy. At the time, my fitness routine included mostly high-impact exercise, triathlons, and boot camps that were beginning to cause minor injuries like strained muscles and sore knees. Something a little gentler on the joints sounded like a good idea!
My first Essentrics® class was unlike any workout I had experienced. It was non-impact and didn't use equipment, but it challenged every muscle in my body in new and surprising ways. The change in my posture was immediate. Sitting in my car after the first class, I had to adjust the rear view mirror to a position that matched the height I'd regained! When a pulled calf muscle forced me to take a break from running and boot camps, I found pain relief and a new challenge in Essentrics®. The body-based tools used in Essentrics® strengthened and toned my muscles and improved my performance in other activities. When I added running back into my exercise routine, my knees, hips, and calves felt the benefit of the stronger, more flexible joints and muscles I gained from my regular Essentrics® training. This rapid change I saw and felt in my body motivated me to study Essentrics® and become certified in the technique. Coaching Background I began teaching classes in Aurora and Denver in 2015 and completed my final level of certification in 2019. Learning from clients and hearing the many stories of improved athletic performance or restored health and mobility inspires me to continue learning about movement and the human body. |
