As Dawn approached 50, she found that there weren't many options between hardcore exercise and Silver Sneakers, so she was thrilled to find Essentrics® which is gentle yet challenging with tons of benefits for bodies of all ages. Besides bringing what she learns to her classes, Dawn's goal with teaching is to inspire people to be more connected to their bodies and understand how to create healthier habits of movement as they age.
In addition to teaching Essentrics®, Dawn also teaches Iyengar yoga and strength training. Her interest in fitness started with 20 years of martial arts-based exercise (Jiu Jitsu, kickboxing and MMA conditioning), and continues as a student of movement, where her interests have evolved into body mechanics, anatomy, tenets of physical therapy, balance and play.
All coaches promote body awareness, self-awareness and movement that enhances health and wellbeing in a safe setting. Our partnership enables us to independently teach classes and team up together to create custom workout series and workshops.
