Fitness has taken many forms for me over the years. In my youth, I participated in as many sports as I could; gymnastics, cheer, volleyball, basketball, and track. My passion for health and wellness later lead me to a career in the fitness industry. I’ve enjoyed guiding clients of all ages and fitness levels in various forms of exercise including weight training, circuit training, and HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training).
In 2013 I tore my ACL and meniscus during a training session. Knee surgery followed and the recovery period gave me time to re-think what I was doing to my body in the name of fitness. The following year I decided to try a class that was quickly gaining popularity at the fitness center where I worked: Essentrics. It only took a few classes for me to be “hooked” on this incredible program. I found renewed strength in my body and, importantly for me, I could safely perform challenging movements without pain or damage to my knees. I knew then this would be my new fitness focus.
My Coaching Background
I added Essentrics to my repertoire of classes in 2015 and earned my final level of certification in 2019. I love sharing my personal life-changing experience with Essentrics and am inspired by the transformative stories of my clients.
